The popular restaurant has something for everyone on their menu and offers thick and juicy burgers, fresh wraps, hearty dinners, desserts, their famous scones and a great range of teas, coffees, beers and local wines.
Taste of the Country comes with its very own mascot, Matilda the cow, who acts as the perfect photo opportunity as guests enter the café.

Kawul
Restaurants serving aboriginal cuisine are few and far between—unless you know where to look. Kawul, co-owners Kassidy Waters and Kim Scott were both Wanaruah people and are immensely proud of their heritage. They wanted their menu to reflect their plant-based diet using local, native and organic produce that would have been used by their ancestors.
With its stunning views of Calais Estate’s vineyards, hillsides and dams, the café’s menu is loaded with breakfast, lunch and dinner options, but their speciality for us is their spiced pumpkin, chickpea, eschalot, almond and wild rice salad with citrus dressing.
