We favour the smaller 5-star boutique cellar doors where the person pouring is often the person who made the wine. Here is the world our tours move through, and a taste of how a day is shaped.
How a day comes together
Every tour is shaped on the day around the group, the season and which cellar doors are pouring at their best. These examples show the rhythm, not a fixed route.
A full day, for example
Three boutique cellar doors through the morning and early afternoon, a sit-down lunch, then the Hunter's own vodka and gin, artisan cheese, and handmade chocolate and fudge on the run home.
A half day with a light lunch
Two cellar doors, a cafe-style lunch, then a distillery tasting and the cheese and chocolate stops, with local teas and jams along the way.
A half day without lunch
Morning or afternoon: two cellar doors, the vodka and gin tasting, cheese and chocolate, teas and jams. Home in four hours, bags heavier than you planned.

4 Pines at the Farm
Twelve taps of quality beer and panoramic views over the Pokolbin valley: a brewery among the vines, ready for any occasion or catch up with mates.
The Deck Cafe, Lovedale
A cafe on the deck overlooking the dam in young forest bushland, where local chefs serve cafe favourites with a Hunter Valley fine-dining twist.
Baume Restaurant
A 174-year-strong winery and vineyard brought back to its former glory, with the cellar door, restaurant and still house all beautifully refurbished.
Taste of the Country Cafe
An award-winning cafe in the heart of Hunter Valley Gardens Village that feels like walking into an old-fashioned country kitchen.
Blaxland Inn Steakhouse
Part of the Hunter dining scene since 1976, on a 28-acre estate along Broke Road. Some of its sandstone bricks still carry convict handprints; the kitchen pairs that history with hearty country food.
Harrigan's Hunter Valley
The first pub in the vineyards and still the only one, open since April 2000 on Broke Road, with a bistro that gathers locals and visitors alike.
